UNITY Technology

A Universal Application System to Streamline Development Processes
& Preserve Existing Affordable Housing

California is facing a crisis, with the lack of affordable housing and widespread homelessness at epidemic levels throughout the state. As affordable housing developers, owners, and operators working inside the City of Los Angeles, we see the use of alarmingly outdated technology that ineffectively patches this process together, ultimately slowing affordable housing growth. That is why Affordable Housing Strategies would like to propose UNITY, a universal application system that can aid in the collective coordination of affordable housing development to move projects through state and local municipalities in a timely fashion. With UNITY, we are creating a one-stop solution to move projects along faster by utilizing algorithms that allow for population targets, budget monitoring of costs, and alerting bottleneck, in turn creating more accountability and objectivity throughout the process.  Additionally, UNITY will allow government funding to be distributed based on demographic-driven data, resulting in reduced site level fraud, a universal funding tool, and asset management evaluations that are relevant and up to date.  The current technology band-aids fail to fix anything comprehensively because developers are not consulted when determining effective solutions. UNITY will serve as a solution that is driven by developers and operators to finally provide the state of California with the tools to move dedicated resources to where they are needed most.

UNITY can streamline, consolidate, and simplify:
